This is a Vintage 1948 Arnold Schwinn New World Sports Tourist Bicycle with Superior Up Grades was Schwinn’s Finest Lightweight Bicycle in the Popular Price Range. This 3 piece crank Version New World came with Superior Cranks, Headset, Bottom Bracket, and Stainless Steel 26″ x 1 1/4 Schwinn Superior Rims laced to a Schwinn Large Flange Freewheel Hub, Schwinn Hand Brakes and Calipers, and Torrington Pedals. The Large Flange Front Hub and Schwinn Cycelock were dealer ordered up grades.

This Antique Schwinn Track Bike belonged to U.S.A. Olympic Racer Chester Nelson Jr. and was taken to the 1948 London Olympics, unfortunately it was a back up bike and was not raced. The 1948 US Olympic Cycling Team was coached by Chester Nelson Sr. (Father), who also raced in the 1928 Amsterdam, Netherlands Olympics for Team USA. The Bike is well used, loved, raced, and came out of a barn of an aging Chester Nelson Jr. about 20 years ago.

1934 Antique Liberty Racer Wood Wheel Fixed Gear Track Bike, built by Arnold Schwinn & Co.. Liberty was one of Chicago Cycle Supply Company, Chicago Illinois House brands. Chicago Cycle Supply also had Cadillac branded bikes made by Schwinn. This Schwinn Liberty was dated by the original 1934 AS Crank and the Serial number has a R for Schwinn Model R Production Racer. She is a an Amazing Old Schwinn Racer, Lux Low Patina Restored as Found, Ready to Ride or Show.
