1920′s Iver Johnson Truss Bridge Track Road Racer Bicycle

13th May 1920 (No Comments)

This Vintage Iver Johnson Arch bar model 90 Road Racer Bike is a road worthy version of the Iver’s Special Racer Track Bicycle. This Drop Bar Model 90 was intended for street use and featured Iver’s strengthened Truss frame, which Iver’s commonly know slogan was ” Trust the Truss “. This street worthy version of their racing models came with stronger equipment and a coaster brake for ease of use and durability for the common road rider. The model 90 was offered for many years and I date this one from 1920 to 1926. The Model 90 often had a 2 number prefix that denoted the year an following letter A and B that noted their top models. This Classic Iver Johnson Truss Bridge Road Racer is restored and shows It’s Beauty and Iconic Racer Design.¬†

¬†This Beautiful Iver Johnson Road Racer is Lux Low Restored. The frame is Iver’s smaller frame ( the optional 20″ version ) and measures 20″ or 50.5cm from the center of the crank to top of the seat tube. The Wheels are extremely Nice metal covered wood rims laced to New Departure front and Rear Coaster Brake. The 28″x1 1/2″ YORK tubulars are in great looking and hold they shape despite the fact they don’t actually hold air. Tubulars are hard to find and unfortunately the tires are what takes this bike out of street use. This Model 90 is adorned with beautiful nickel parts and a leather saddle. This is Iconic Iver Racer that will add a Classic Early racer Look to your Collection.
