The Pierce Shaft Drive Cushioner Frame Pneumatic Safety Bicycle with Suspension Fork was the Pinnacle of innovation and boasted a Smooth Vibrationless Ride. The George N. Pierce Company started manufacturing bicycles in 1891 and later produced Motorcycles and the Pierce Arrow Automobile. The Pierce Arrow name also made it to quite a few Pierce Bicycles. Pierce was a well respected name, back in the day, producing quality bicycles with out a inflated price. Pierce Cycles are highly collectible because of their Unique and Superior Construction, Widely considered the upper echelon of Antique Bicycles.

Early 1900s Antique Lake View Cycle Company Wood Wheel Bike. The Lovely Badge may be the only story to tell “Lake View Cycle Company 3255 N. Clark St. Chicago” After much research I found nothing, not even in the Wheelman lists. I Believe this LVC Bike to be a made from early 1900′s to around 1918 and most likely a small bike Manufacture in Chicago surviving the down turn in the bicycle industry after the Gay 1890s Bicycle Boom. Chicago was home to many small Manufactures in the early 1900s as well as Larger Arnold Schwinn & Co.

This Old Cleveland A-1 Racer / Light Roadster Roadster has seen some use but still survives today. Cleveland Bicycles was founded by H.A.Lozier had a Deep History with Safety Bicycles. Lozier & Co. was a large Bicycle manufacturer producing Quality Bicycles out of Multiple Factories. This 1901 A-1 Cleveland Bicycle was Produced under the ABC Umbrella. The (ABC) American Bicycle Company was a trust or Bicycle Manufacturers that were grouped together to survive the Bicycle Industries Economic down turn coming out of the 1890s Bicycle Boom.
