Vintage 1941 Hawthorne Comet Ballooner Bicycle was manufactured by HP Snyder / Rollfast and sold at Wards Department stores. This Gem was a Full Patina Rescue Plus, the Client brought this wonder full bike to me covered in house paint and after considering the costs of full restoration I suggested a Patina Plus Restoration. The Patina Plus is a Lux Low Process that recovers original paint and through a ugly repaint, often with the result is a Unique Distressed Look.

Vintage 1941 Goodyear Double Eagle Clipper Ballooner Bicycle, made by Colson Corporation Elyria, Ohio. Goodyear Double Eagle Bikes were Goodyear’s Top of the line bike (SUPER DELUXE) and were sold at the Goodyear Tire Department Stores. This Unique Bike was designed by industrial artist Wilbur Henry Adams for Goodyear. Goodyear felt that Adams’ talent for unique bicycle design would compliment Goodyear’s Quality and give great appeal to their customers. The Clipper is an Amazing example of Design and Innovation that was built and marketed in 1940-1941 right before World War 2.

This 1941 Rover Grillnose Cushioner Cruiser Bike was a top of the line Imperial Series bike made by Colson Corporation Elyria, Ohio. This Deluxe Bicycle boasted the New Features of Cushioner Suspension Fork, Grill Tank, and Lighted Rack. The Colson Grillnose Bicycle was only in Production about a year. 1940 and 1941 were great years for Amazing Ballooner bikes, I easily feel that Colson made some of the Best Bicycles out those years, even rivaling the absolute Quality of Schwinn Bikes. This is a Bad ol Rat Rod Ride, Quite Unique and Rare, Sought After By Collectors, I originally got this for full restoration but decided she suited me better this way, Ratty, Totally rebuilt, and Ready to Ride.

This Elgin Miss America Bicycle was Sears’s top on the line Ladies Bikes in 1941. Although she was the Cats Meow back in the day it’s the Rats Meow Now. Elgin was the Brand name of the Bicycles Sold by Sears Department Stores before World War 2 and this particular Elgin was manufactured by Murray of Ohio. This Elgin Rat is rebuilt Ratty as found, she rides smooth, and looks more like a Brawler than Miss America.

The Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Model 76m or Streamline Deluxe Mobike is a Unique double Arch bar Ballooner bike. This Antique Fat tire Cruiser has Unique Iver Fenders with inset rear Reflector, Cross Braced Handle Bars, Deluxe Saddle, Truss fork, and Drop Stand. The 1941 Iver Johnson Streamline Deluxe Mobike Mobike, as with many other 1941 bikes, was Unique Design that would not reappear after World War 2, when bicycle manufacturing resumed. This Gem is Lux Low Patina Restored, Ready for Show or to be Ridden Daily.
