This is a Amazing Vintage 50cm x 52cm Purple and Blue Hetchins Magnum Opus Vibrant Track Bike was custom painted by Brian Baylis and was his personal bike. Bryan Baylis was a Well Know Iconic frame builder, painter, artist, craftsman from the United States. Unfortunately Brian is no longer with us a Bikes like this, Live on and Continue to Pay respect showing his work as a Master Artisan. Brian custom ordered this frame from Bob Jackson owned Hetchins in 1990 and he painted it himself. The Hetchins is Magnum Opus vibrant / curly stay with ornate hand cut lug work is ” Top of the Line ” and is a prime example of Hetchins Craft and Beauty. Hand made Custom Built Steel Frame made of Columbus PL Steels tubes, Silver Soldered, and adorned with Campagnolo Parts. This Bicycle is Beautiful is filled with History and would be a great addition to a collection or a Retro Rider.
This 50cm Hetchins is a Stunning Piece of History, Art, and Beauty. The Bike measures 48.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube or 50cm Center to Top of the top tube. The top tube is 52cm center to center. The Head tube is 118mm tall at a 73 degree angle. The seat tube angle is 75.5 Degrees. The Frame and Fork are Columbus PL Steel Tubing, Fully Silver Soldered, with Campagnolo Dropouts. Brian’s custom frame order form from Hetchins comes with this bicycle. The bike has Top of the line Campagnolo Parts: Mostly Super Record Group. Cranks, Headset, Bottom Bracket, Seatpost, & Pedals, Nice Stuff. Bike has a Concor Leather Saddle, 3ttt Stem and Handlebars with sewn Blue Suede Leather Wrap. 700c track wheels with C Record Track Hubs laced to Fiamme Speedy Rims and Tubular tires. This is a Bob Jackson owned Hetchins Built Frame. The Bike is Gorgeous and saw low to no miles, it is a Sweet Ride, A work of Art, A Piece of History, Preserving Bryan Baylis’s Artisan Paint Work.
