Check out this Vintage Centurion Dave Scott IRONMAN 12 speed Road Bicycle. From my Research, it’s from 1985 and it was the Top of the Line Dave Scott with Shimano 600 Components. This Centurion Bicycle was the Predecessor to the Centurion TA Comp and is made of Japanese Steel featuring Cro-Mo Seamless Tubing ( Tange Champion #1 ) Double Butted Tubes.
This Centurion has Nitto Bars, a Technomic Stem, a Sugino Seat Post, and Ofmega Sintesi Track Pedals with Shimano 600 Brakes and Brake Levers and a Shimano 600 Sealed Headset. It has a Shimano 600 Shifter and Derailuers and Shimano 600 Crank and Chainrings. The Wheels are 700c Mavic Rims with Sealed Performance Hubs, and New 700x 23c Hutchinson Dual Compound Equinox Tires. It also has a Nice, New, Light Weight Racing Saddle. This Bicycle was considered and Marketed as a Triathlon Bicycle, but Not Like Today’s Triathlon Bicycles. The Dave Scott IronMan Centurion was more like a High Performance Road Bicycle where the Design was supposed to offer More Comfort to the Triathlete’s Arms.
