The Racycle was the top of the line bicycle made by The Miami Cycle & Manufacturing Co. out of Middletown Ohio. Miami Cycle & Manufacturing Company produced high quality Bicycles from the 1990s to the 1920s. The Racycle boasted its unique hanger that provided better balance. You can credit Miami Cycle to be one of the great over designers of the time but that uniqueness also make them so collectible. As a collector your will most likely look past many Miami Bicycles until you are a True Connoisseur and then the Miami Cycle will be on the fore front of your collecting. This is a Vintage 1950 Arnold Schwinn New World Sports Tourist Bicycle in a Seldom Scene Early Violet. The Schwinn New World was one of Schwinn’s Lightweight Bicycle in the Popular Price Range. The New World came in solid colors with decals, this Bike appears to be a Metallic which is odd for a 1950s bicycle since most metallics were not sold by Schwinn till the 1960s.

This is a Vintage 1948 Arnold Schwinn New World Sports Tourist Bicycle with Superior Up Grades was Schwinn’s Finest Lightweight Bicycle in the Popular Price Range. This 3 piece crank Version New World came with Superior Cranks, Headset, Bottom Bracket, and Stainless Steel 26″ x 1 1/4 Schwinn Superior Rims laced to a Schwinn Large Flange Freewheel Hub, Schwinn Hand Brakes and Calipers, and Torrington Pedals. The Large Flange Front Hub and Schwinn Cycelock were dealer ordered up grades.

The Racycle Boasts the performance of their unique bottom Bracket. Miami also made Flying Merkel Bicycles. Miami / Racycle bikes are rare and highly sought after and come with superior quality and craftsman ship. From Research I place this Racycle Tourist from around 1913.
