Antique Iver Johnson Mobicycle Wood Wheel Single Tube Bike

Vintage 1927 Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Mobicycle Bicycle built in Fitchburg Massachusetts. This Iver Mobicycle was a little hard to research because it was not pictured in the Catalogs. Iver Catalogs feature the smaller Mobicycle, where the top tube slopes down with the motorbike tubes getting smaller towards the head tube. This Iver Mobicycle does the opposite and gets bigger toward the head tube. The Bike is not shown but only listed as a Larger 20″ frame upgrade option. This Old Boy has metal covered wood wheels, truss fork, Unique Iver fenders, and Great Patina telling a story of many years of service.

This 1927 Iver Johnson Chater Lea Special Racer is the Holly Grail of Iver Track Bicycles and Glorifies Iver’s Commitment to Racing. Iver Johnson has a deep rich history in track racing, most notably known for the African American Racer Marshall Walter “Major” Taylor. Major Taylor had a dominant career in Track Racing and became the second Black Athlete, in any sport, to win a world title. This Top of the Line Bike has Special Chrome-Mo-lib-den-um cold drawn seamless steel tubing an is adorned with Special Chatter Lea Hanger and Hubs. Iver Johnson Bicycles are amazing machines with gun smithing quality and detail. This Iver Special Chatter Lea Racer is also called a Model 90B.

Iver Johnson was famous for there Truss Bridge Frame But but were not limited to that. This 1908 Iver Johnson Special Roadster Bike is a fine example of Iver’s high end diamond frame bicycles that were built with Shelby steel tubing and new frame building techniques. The diamond frame boasted a lighter weight racer frame with comparable strength to the iconic truss bridge frame. This early Iver has unique Iver cranks and bottom bracket that were only used for a few years. The Diamond Frame Special Roadster may look kinda plain Jane but reflects the Craftsmanship and Beauty to be expected from Iver Johnson Bicycles.

Antique 1900 Spalding Chainless Fixed Gear Wood Wheel Bike

This Vintage Spalding Fixed Gear Shaft Drive is an Exquisite Turn of the Century Bicycle built at the Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A. Factory. Albert Goodwill Spalding began his sporting career as a Baseball pitcher and later founded A. G. Spalding & Brothers a sporting goods company. During the late 1880s and 1890s, A.G. Spalding produced several different bicycle models and sponsored a racing team to help advertise its cycles. In 1899 Spalding purchased the concerns of over 48 bicycle manufacturers, then sold them to the American Bicycle Company, forming a trust in an effort to reduce overhead and improve slumping sales.
