Antique Springfield Roadster Safety Hi Wheel bike pretty sure from 1888 but may be 1889. This Bike is a nice representation of the last of the High Wheel / Penny Farthing / Ordinary era. Safety means the bike has a rake and consider safer the Original High Wheel / Ordinary bikes. Pedals and cranks work as a treadle, which is a pumping motion more than circular motion. Definitely advancements for the times, you can also coast on this bike. Springfield Roadster is the beginnings / related or becomes Lovell Diamond and further Iver Johnson Bicycles.

1894 Antique Sterling Safety Bicycle. Built Like a Watch. $3950

The Sterling was 19th century American fixed gear safety bike, made by Sterling Bicycle Co. aka “Sterling Cycle Works”. The Sterling has incredible craftsmanship and was known and sold as the Bicycle “Built like a watch”. Sterling Cycle Works manufactured bicycles from 1894 to 1898 at its factory in Chicago, Illinois. In 1899 Sterling move to Kenosha, Wisconsin and the company was sold later that year.

This Beautiful Motorbike has high pressure tires & cad covered wood rims, all original parts in great working order, Amazing enough she could be ridden daily. This is an Antique, Columbia, Westfield Ladies Safety Bicycle with a Nice Cad Metal Covered Wooden Rims. She’s an Elegant, Old, Bicycle, Restored as Found with Patina intact. From My Research, I Believe it to be a Columbia Westfield and maybe Considered a Safety Bicycle from early 1900′s to the early 1930′s. The Seat Tube Decal is Pope Westfield Mfg.
