Iver Johnson was famous for there Truss Bridge Frame But but were not limited to that. This 1908 Iver Johnson Special Roadster Bike is a fine example of Iver’s high end diamond frame bicycles that were built with Shelby steel tubing and new frame building techniques. The diamond frame boasted a lighter weight racer frame with comparable strength to the iconic truss bridge frame. This early Iver has unique Iver cranks and bottom bracket that were only used for a few years. The Diamond Frame Special Roadster may look kinda plain Jane but reflects the Craftsmanship and Beauty to be expected from Iver Johnson Bicycles.

Antique Springfield Roadster Safety Hi Wheel bike pretty sure from 1888 but may be 1889. This Bike is a nice representation of the last of the High Wheel / Penny Farthing / Ordinary era. Safety means the bike has a rake and consider safer the Original High Wheel / Ordinary bikes. Pedals and cranks work as a treadle, which is a pumping motion more than circular motion. Definitely advancements for the times, you can also coast on this bike. Springfield Roadster is the beginnings / related or becomes Lovell Diamond and further Iver Johnson Bicycles.

Beautiful Antique Lovell “Diamond” Hard Tire Safety Bike. The Bicycle was manufactured by Iver Johnson for John P. Lovell Arms Co. Sporting Goods Line. Eventually over Time Lovell Diamond became the name of the Bicycle line, but this Bike was actually called a Lovell “Diamond” Model #1. The Model 1 was a Men’s Safety with hard Tires. This Lovell Diamond is a Top Notch Perfectly Restored and Preserved Quality Hard Tire Safety Bicycle.

Beautiful Early Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Bicycle built in Fitchburg Massachusetts with one of the First New Departure Coaster Brake Hubs. The first Iver Johnson Bicycles were made for Lovell Diamond and Sold as Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Lovell Diamond Bicycles Boston Mass. This Wonderfully Preserved Gem appears to be one of Iver’s first self badged Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Bicycle built in Fitchburg Mass. in 1898. This Bicycle wore Iver Johnson’s own Badge and was marketed solely as a Iver Johnson Bicycle. This Early Iver Could be considered Safety or Early post Safety Era.
