Vintage 1920s Schwinn Built Hibbard Motobike Cruiser Bicycle

This Hibbard bike is a Deluxe Motorbike that was made by Arnold Schwinn & Company for the Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett, and Company Hardware Stores. H.S.B& Co. was from from Chicago Illinois and had a long history in hardware and bicycles, from the mid late 1800s up past the Second world war. H.S.B. & Co. was also known to developed the True Value Hardware line that still exists today. Early Schwinn are not very common and this one with a Historic Hardware background makes this bike quite a find.

Antique 1919 Simmons Hardware Autocycle Wood Wheel Bicycle

This Vintage 1919 Autocycle Motorbike was the Top of the Line Bike offered from the E. C. Simmons Hardware Stores. Simmons Hardware was founded by Edward Campbell Simmons in the 1870s in St. Louis, Missouri and grew to a highly successful nationwide hardware chain. Simmons hardware flourished up until 1922 when it was acquired by Winchester Repeating Arms Still Badged Simmons and then acquired by Shapleigh Hardware Company in 1940 Most Likely no longer Simmons but Badged Shapleigh. Simmons Hardware offered few different Bike models and parts to go with them. Some Later Simmons Bicycles were made by Colson Corporation, but this early one remains a mystery, to the best of my knowledge it is made by Michigan City Excelsior. Simmons was a well trusted hardware store and sold a lot of bikes that are unique with quality construction.

The Reading Standard started Manufacturing Bicycles in Reading Reading Pennsylvania at around 1906 to 1910, as the Bicycle industry suffered, companies were merged or bought to survive the hard times. Great Western Manufacturing Company acquired Reading Standard and was the second largest bicycle manufacturing company to survive the downturn, Second to Pope’s American Bicycle Company Trust (ABC). Great Western Manufacturing Company of La Porte, Indiana Produce some Amazing Bikes built with Quality.

This Vintage Pierce Street Racer Bike was made by The Pierce Cycle Company in Buffalo, New York somewhere in 1906 to 1916. The George N. Pierce Company started manufacturing bicycles in 1891 and later produced Motorcycles and the Pierce Arrow Automobile. The Pierce Arrow name also made it to quite a few Pierce Bicycles. Pierce was a well respected name, back in the day, producing quality bicycles with out a inflated price. Pierce Cycles are highly collectible because of their Unique and Superior Construction, Widely considered the upper echelon of Antique Bicycles.

1914 Crown Great Western Manufacturing Wood Wheel Bicycle

1914 Antique Crown wood wheel Bike made by the Great Western Manufacturing Company La Porte, Indiana U.S.A.. This Old Crown bike has a Wonderful Unique Ornamental frame that’s Beauty stands out compared to other plainer diamond frames of the time. Great Western Manufacturing Company was formed in 1898 as the result of a merger between four other cycle companies: David Bradley, J. Lonn & Sons, Adams-Westlake Companies of Chicago and the Crown Bicycle Works of La Porte. It Was Quoted that the Great Western Company was second largest in the country, being eclipsed only by the American Bicycle Company.
