Vintage 1938 Schwinn Paramount Fixed Gear Track Bicycle $8200

This Antique Schwinn Track Bike belonged to U.S.A. Olympic Racer Chester Nelson Jr. and was taken to the 1948 London Olympics, unfortunately it was a back up bike and was not raced. The 1948 US Olympic Cycling Team was coached by Chester Nelson Sr. (Father), who also raced in the 1928 Amsterdam, Netherlands Olympics for Team USA. The Bike is well used, loved, raced, and came out of a barn of an aging Chester Nelson Jr. about 20 years ago.

In 1938 Schwinn introduced the Superior and Paramount line of Lightweight Track Racers and Touring Bikes. The Paramount was the top of the line and the Superior was considered second to top but still an elite bicycle offered at consumer prices. This 1940 Schwinn Superior is Classic Fixed Gear Track Bike with Nice Patina, Features Schwinn Superior light weight components, a fillet-brazed chrome-molybdenum frame ,Wood Racing Wheels, and Tubular Tires.

Antique 1938 Wards Hawthorne Monark Built 5 bar Bicycle

Vintage 1938 Hawthorne 5 bar Prewar Cruiser Bike with an interesting ,oddly unique, and rare Twinbar design frame. This Hawthorne was made by the Monark bicycle company for the Wards department stores and from research it appears this bike was only sold in 1938. This rare Ballooner bike featured a 5 bar monark design interesting lugs and bottom bracket.

Rare Amazing Antique 1938 Gunmetal Gray Elgin Twin 20 Ballooner Bike. Twin bar Bikes were by Murray of Ohio and Sold by the Sears Department stores from 1938-1942, Pre World War 2. This Bike was Cutting Edge at its time, with an Design that Boasted the Design Similarities of a Suspension Bridge. Elgin TwinBars Very Unique, Highly Sought after By Collectors, and One of My Personal Favorite Antique Bikes.
