It’s been a while since LuxLow has been on the road swapping and picking bikes, but with this years Cheap Gas Prices we had to take the show on the Road. Previously we had abandoned swaps due to High Gas Prices and the INTERWEBS and the Salty Swappers they Produce. Come on People, You can get value from ebay if you take out the 15% for fees, the 20% for your time listing and shipping, 5% for cash, and throw in another 5% for being Social and getting off your ass. We sell a ton on ebay. yet this is a good formula for local swap sales. Enough with the Rant, whether swaps are a dieing breed or not, they are fun, and my favorite shopping, bike people are characters and we are always amazed to see something we have never seen before. Good Times.

The Racycle was the top of the line bicycle made by The Miami Cycle & Manufacturing Co. out of Middletown Ohio. Miami Cycle & Manufacturing Company produced high quality Bicycles from the 1990s to the 1920s. The Racycle boasted its unique hanger that provided better balance. You can credit Miami Cycle to be one of the great over designers of the time but that uniqueness also make them so collectible. As a collector your will most likely look past many Miami Bicycles until you are a True Connoisseur and then the Miami Cycle will be on the fore front of your collecting. Vintage 1927 Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Mobicycle Bicycle built in Fitchburg Massachusetts. This Iver Mobicycle was a little hard to research because it was not pictured in the Catalogs. Iver Catalogs feature the smaller Mobicycle, where the top tube slopes down with the motorbike tubes getting smaller towards the head tube. This Iver Mobicycle does the opposite and gets bigger toward the head tube. The Bike is not shown but only listed as a Larger 20″ frame upgrade option. This Old Boy has metal covered wood wheels, truss fork, Unique Iver fenders, and Great Patina telling a story of many years of service.

Beautiful Early Ladies Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Bicycle built in Fitchburg Massachusetts. This Wonderfully Preserved Gem appears to be one of Iver’s first self badged Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Bicycle built in Fitchburg Mass. in 1898. The Bicycle has wood wheels, single tube tires, fixed gear hub, front Spoon Brake, Ornate Chainguard, and Wooden rear Fender with Skirt Guards. This Early Iver Could be considered Safety or Early post Safety Era.

This Lovely Duo is a 1898 Mens and a 1899 Ladies Iver Johnson Wood Wheel Pneumatic Safety Bicycles. These Wonderfully Preserved Gems are some of Iver’s first self badged Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Bicycles built in Fitchburg Mass. The Iver Quality and Detail on these bicycles is quite exquisite, with jewelry type detail, actually Gun Smith Quality. The bikes are consecutive years yet have different design reflecting changing innovation of the early Iver Johnson Bicycles.
