This Pepperell Grocery Cycle Truck is a true piece of History, Showing Schwinn Quality with patina tells a story of many years of service. This antique 1950 Arnold Schwinn Cycle Truck was bought outside Opelika, Alabama from a colorful gentleman. Who said ” the bike originally belonged to the Pepperell Grocery (no longer there) in Pepperell, Alabama”. This bike had seen serious service and use, showing its age, looking tired and exhausted. I bought it for a full restoration, but later discovered that the history and patina of this old boy tells a better story than one of new paint and chrome. This Vintage Schwinn got all the attention of a full restoration with an extensive Lux Low Patina restoration. After much work, Behold what a Beauty lies with in: worked paint & rust, re braised welds, original sign, chewed Basket, worn dropstand with spring to hold up (that works perfect). Rebuilt S-2s ready to deliver. She tells a history story and with her Lux Low patina restoration, she’s ready for 50 more years of use.

Cycle Trucks were unique heavy duty delivery bikes ( The Work Horse of the Industry) and were used widely through the 1950′s . The Cycle Truck has an unique drop stand that is quick to service or supported the bike and payload. This Cycle Truck has the giant baskets and sign.
