This 1947 Aluminum Hex Tube Silver King Fat Tire Cruiser Bike ( made by Monark early postwar) is a Rare 26″ x 2.125″ full size adult Silver King bicycle. Most Silver Kings were 24″ Bicycles and tend to be too small for the Retro Riders, making this 26″ highly sought after. The Silver King is a Deco Aluminum Bicycle with Unique Look and Style stands apart from others. What Made The Silver King popular back in the day, can also be appreciated today.
The Monark Silver King is a Unique Aluminum Bicycle made on Aluminum lugged fittings and Aluminum Hex tubing. The Bike is a Full Size Adult Mens bike with 26″x 2.125″ Wheels and Tires. The Bike is Fully Restored but not by Lux Low, It is a Quality Restoration and Appears to be a 100% Accurate Restoration, and Came from a well respected Collector. All I have done is wiped the bike down and a lite tune and now she is ready to roll. The Bike is Definitely Show Worthy although she could use a tiny bit more Detailing. All The Chrome parts are Rechromed and the Aluminum is all Hand Polished to a Fine Luster. The Rims are dropcenters Laced to a Torrington Front Hub and a New Departure Model D Coaster Brake Rear hub. The Tires are Original 26″x2.125″ Carlisle Indian Head Lightning Dart Tires. The Bike Has a Monark Springer Fork, the fenders are chrome steel with a Monark Pedestal Light, Rear Reflector with housing, and Mud Flap. The Seat is restored with accurate leather and color, original rechromed rack and chainguard. The Chainguard and pedestal base have slight peppering from the chrome process. The Pedals are Persons Supreme reproductions. She is a Sweet Ride, Showing Silver Kings Deco Design and Unique Look.
