The Pierce Shaft Drive Cushioner Frame Pneumatic Safety Bicycle with Suspension Fork was the Pinnacle of innovation and boasted a Smooth Vibrationless Ride. The George N. Pierce Company started manufacturing bicycles in 1891 and later produced Motorcycles and the Pierce Arrow Automobile. The Pierce Arrow name also made it to quite a few Pierce Bicycles. Pierce was a well respected name, back in the day, producing quality bicycles with out a inflated price. Pierce Cycles are highly collectible because of their Unique and Superior Construction, Widely considered the upper echelon of Antique Bicycles.
This Amazing Pierce Chainless is a Cushioner Frame with a Spring Fork. The Shaft Drive powers a rear ball end fixed gear hub. The wheels have wood rims and single tube 28″ x 1 1/2″ tires. The bike has beautiful nickel plating and a Gorgeous Christy Saddle. The Bike has Wonderful Early Quill Pedals, Automatic Bell, and Oil Headlamp. This Pierce Chainless is an older non LuxLow restoration and came from a respected fellow collector. These bikes definitely don’t come around often, although it’s the first restored bike we have ever acquired, we had to bring it into our stable. The bike is restored and since not by us I do not know the inside detail and have noticed the spoke lacing is loose. The Bike has been the center of attention at many shows and has some scratches in the paint from it’s travels. I have plans to re-restore the bike down the line, but felt it should be shown on our site instead of tucked away waiting. Bike is for Sale As Is and will be after re-restoration too. Price in not set but will be upper 4 figure. Please enjoy her Beauty.
