This 1954 Shelby 52a Deluxe Ballooner Bicycle has beautiful Style, lots of Chrome and all The Deluxe Features. The 52a was Shelby’s Top of The Line Postwar Ballooner Bicycle and was Designed to Go head to head with and rival Sales away from the Popular Schwinn Phantom Ballooner Bicycles. This Particular Shelby 52a is a bicycle from the period that AMF owned and CWC manufactured the Shelby Bicycle. The 52a is one of my Favorite Bicycles blending Unmatched Beauty and Style.
This bicycle boasts the Deluxe Features like the Shelby Spring Fork, giving the Smoothest, Floating ride you can feel and see at the same time. It has Three Resilient Steel Springs absorbing Shock and helping to Keep the Bicycle under control, giving a Safer, More Enjoyable Ride. It has Protect-O-guard Chrome Braces, Beautiful Chrome Guard Braces angling away from the guards for extra protection. It has an All-In-One, Working, NOS, Three Purpose Delta Triple-Lite, Electric Tail light, Automatic Stop Light and Reflector. It has a Chrome Tank with a Working Horn, Deluxe Chrome Rack, Deluxe Seat, Tear Drop Pedals, and Beautiful Black, Red, and White Paint. The Bicycle has Beautifully Rechromed parts including a Rare Chain Guard Rack, Horn Tank, Fender Braces, Crank and Fork struts. The Seat is the Original Deluxe Troxel Totally Rebuilt. This is a Full-Size Men’s Adult Ballooner Bike With The Big Cushy Fat New Goodyear Pattern Pattern 26″x 2.125″ White Wall tires on New CWC type step side Repro wheels. The Light and Pedals are Nice New Reproductions. This Particular Shelby 52a is from the years that Cleveland Welding Company (CWC) manufactured the Bicycles under their Parent Company AMF. The Bicycle is a Blend of Cleveland Welding and Shelby Bicycles. Most Notably, the Frame is Cleveland Welding and the Supporting Parts are Shelby. The Parts are Original to the Bike, Particularly the Tank and Chain Guard, and have Slight Differences to other 52a bicycles, but Only Fit on This Bicycle.
