1935 Wyeth Standard Schwinn Built B-9 Motorbike

28th April 1935 (No Comments)

This Antique Fattire Cruiser Bicycle was built by Arnold Schwinn for the the Wyeth Hardware stores of St. Joseph, Mo. The Bike is a Vintage Schwinn Model B-9 Motorbike presumably from 1935 although it could be a 1934 or 1936. Wonder-full Early the balloon tire bike, Patina Restored as a Rat Rod for Fun and to use daily.

The Bike has a great head badge: Wyeth Standard Hardware & Mfg. St. Joseph, Mo., I have not seen to many side by side screw mount schwinn badges, except on pre Schwinn ballooner bikes leading me to believe this is the first of the fat tire bicycles. Bike had a Lovely Patina, the frame and fork have a few dents to show character but do nothing to effect the performance of this prewar gem. The Bike Has a Sweetheart skiptooth sprocket with a Diamond roller chain, a Rat rodded Troxel pan seat (that is surprisingly comfortable), and wide scout bars. The spring loaded drop stand is added for style and convenience. This Bike is a Full Size mens bike with rebuilt original 26″ x 2.125″ prewar dropcenter wheels with rebuilt New Departure hubs. Wheels are Trued and have New Goodyear pattern Blackwall tires. She’s a Bad Rat Rod with Style, a Smooth Ride, ready to go the distance in Classic Schwinn performance.
